Making a sombre visit to Auckland 25 January 2019 was the Republic of Singapore Air Force Boeing KC135R Stratotanker tail number 752. The multi-purpose tanker/transport arrived in the predawn hours direct from Singapore/Paya Lebar and departed several hours later on return to Paya Lebar carrying the casket of a soldier killed during military exercises south of Taupo. The KC135 visit coincided with that of RNZAF Boeing 757 NZ7572 with this aircraft arriving from and returning to Ohakea.
