Gipps Aero GA8 Airvan VH-BNG touched down at Wellington late morning 28 December. With a construction number of GA8-18-248, this 2018 model arrived from Latrobe Valley via Essendon after a nocturnal crossing of the Tasman Sea. The GA8 then made the short flight to Nelson for certification with a local maintenance provider.
The aircraft is on delivery to Takaka based Golden Bay Air to become ZK-ZUG.

In other Tasman Sea crossing news, Cessna 210 VH-ZIO arrived at Tauranga 26 December 2018 from Norfolk Island and Kerikeri having flown from the Gold Coast to Lord and Norfolk Islands on the 24th. This survey equipped Centurion spent time in New Zealand earlier this year.
