RNZAF 80th Anniversary Air Tattoo - Participants heading our way - UPDATED

The flotilla of overseas visitors destined for this coming weekend's Air Tattoo at Ohakea are making their way towards New Zealand.

Royal Air Force Airbus A400M Atlas ZM401 arrived at Honolulu/Hickam 19 February (NZ date) 

United States Air Force participants jetted into Darwin 19 February with F-16C Block 50 Fighting Falcon's 91-0422/WW and 92-3887/WW as "Pine 51" and "Pine 52" arriving from Yelahanka/India where they had participated in Aero India 2017 - https://www.aeroindia.in/Default.aspx. The F16's are operated by the 13th Fighter Squadron "Panthers" from Misawa AFB/Japan. They were supported by 909th Refueling Squadron, 18th Wing Kadena/Japan Boeing KC135R 62-3561, callsign "Reach 061" from Utapao/Thailand and Hawaiian-based Boeing C17A Globemaster III 05-5152 as "Trek 28" from Madras/India. 

The Republic of Singapore Air Force have dispatched Lockheed C130H Hercules 731 and 734 with both aircraft arriving at Darwin 19 February from Paya Lebar as SAF9753 and 9754 respectively and btoth are heading onto Amberley 20 February where they will be joined by Boeing KC135R 753  operating as SAF3710 coming from Singapore and in support of the Boeing F15SG Eagles which flew from Paya Lebar.
The two C130 Hercules and two F15SG Eagles, tail numbers 8321 and 8323,  crossed the Tasman 22 February arriving into Ohakea direct from Amberley. The Eagles were supported by the KC135R which provided aerial refueling while operating a round robin from/to Amberley.


Armee de L'Air Casa 235 66/F-RAID arrived in Whenuapai 20 February from Noumea as CTM1161. However the Casa departed late afternoon 21 February heading back to Noumea....

Royal Canadian Air Force Lockheed CC130J Hercules 130601 was noted arriving into Nadi 21 February as CFC2561 and flew onto Whenuapai 22 February.

The Australian contingent are due later today with F18's into Ohakea and tanker support in the shape of an Airbus A330 that may visit Auckland.
