Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZC enters service

Air New Zealand's most recently delivered Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner 
ZK-NZC has entered commercial passenger service today operating as NZ135 from Auckland to Brisbane and back to Auckland as NZ136.

This is the first scheduled Air New Zealand Dreamliner service between Auckland and Brisbane with the type operate three times per week for the next three weeks. There was a one off adhoc use of the type on 09 August when ZK-NZD operated NZ139/134 in lieu of a Boeing 767-300. 
The Dreamliner will also operate once per week between Auckland and Los Angeles flying the Sunday NZ4 service leaving 27 September, 4,11 and 18 October. From 24 October the 787-9 will become a regular feature on the Auckland-Nadi route and from mid November the Dreamliner will replace the Boeing 777-200 on the Auckland to Singapore route. According to online records, Air New Zealand is planning to take delivery of their 6th Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZH c/n 37964 in late October. The aircraft is was well into its build phase mid August
