Parcel Air's third and final Boeing 737-400 freighter has been delivered with the arrival at Auckland 16 July of N837TM MSN 24683. Operated by Airwork Flight Operations, the converted passenger jet took up the markings ZK-PAT yesterday and will join fellow -400's ZK-PAK and ZK-PAQ on domestic freight operations between Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch. Its introduction to service will in turn spell the end of Airpost Fokker F27 and Air Freight NZ Convair 580 operations in New Zealand.
N837TM flew from Dothan Regional, AL to Ontario CA 11 July (local date) then to Kalealoa, HI 15 July for just a few hours layover then onto Pago Pago and Auckland crossing the dateline to arrive on the 16th.
This example is a 4YO and has had a rather varied past moving from one operator to another.
The aircraft has previous worn the following registrations since it first entered service in August 1990
HR-SHL, PP-SOH, 9M-MJR, TC-AYA, N683GE(ntu), PK-GWW, VP-BGQ and was to become PP-YBB however went onto become N837TM and of course shortly to wear ZK-PAT.
N837TM used the callsign JTN6060 for the delivery flight. JTN=Jettrain which in turn equates to Jet Test & Transport, a Henderson, NV based test flight and worldwide aircraft delivery provider.
