Sadly the anticipated visit by a Quest Kodiak, N150KQ, has been cancelled with the distributor, Utility Air, unable to provide any future dates for a New Zealand visit.
The aeroplane spent much of March hangared at Bankstown before heading to Moorabbin, VIC and departing there for Ceduna 22 March and it continued onto Perth/Jandakot via Kalgoorlie the next day.

The first visit to New Zealand by a Quest Aircraft Kodiak is set to be conducted in late March coinciding with the Warbirds over Wanaka airshow Easter weekend.
Australian based UtilityAir was named official distributor for the Kodiak in November 2015.
To the best of my knowledge there is just the one Kodiak operating in Australia, VH-KKW, while Papua New Guinea has four examples P2-SIB, SID, SIR and SIT operated by the Summer Institute of Linguistics Aviation http://www.silaviation.org/. A fifth airframe, N110KQ, was delivered to PNG during July 2015 and has since become P2-NTK with New Tribes Aviation. The operator is also set to take delivery of N111KQ and N118KQ shortly so maybe one of these will be seen on the demo tour before taking up residence in PNG (thanks to Noel O for the updated information).
Quest Aircraft Company, headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, is the manufacturer of the Kodiak, a 10-place single engine turboprop designed for STOL use and float capability (as pictured below).
