Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZM - ENTRY TO SERVICE

ZK-NZM entered service with Air New Zealand on the last day of November 2017 operating as NZ101 from Auckland to Sydney. It returned to Auckland as NZ102 before operating another Sydney return as NZ105/NZ108.


ZK-NZM departs Auckland as NZ105 on its second day of service, 01 December 2017.

Officially placed on the NZ register 22 November 2017, Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZM has arrived into Auckland 23 November 2017 after a direct flight from Charleston, South Carolina as NZ6094. Less than favourable upper level wind conditions saw the journey stretch out to 15 hours and 59 minutes.

ZK-NZM departing Charleston on its delivery flight, supplied. 
A period of pre-service maintenance will be conducted with an expect entry to service date in about a week's time.

This is the third use of the registration ZK-NZM.

Air New Zealand's 11th Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner ZK-NZM MSN 38180/ZB011 has conducted its first flight from Boeing's Charleston, South Carolina facility as "Boeing 011". The aircraft flew to Myrtle Beach and back during the middle of 01 November 2017 local USA date. 


Configured the same as ZK-NZL with 27 business, 33 premium economy and 215 economy seats, the Dreamliner is due to be delivered to Auckland around 23 November 2017.  The arrival of ZK-NZL will see the Dreamliner's commence services from Auckland to Houston on a daily basis from 11 December 2017 

Air New Zealand will take delivery of two additional -9 Dreamliners in the 3rd quarter of 2018 and online resource suggests they will be constructed at Everett/Paine Field, Washington State and have been allocated:

ZK-NZN MSN 38182/ZB012
ZK-NZO MSN 39296/ZB997
