New Zealand airspace has been visited a number of times in recent days by Airbus A330MRTT operated by the Royal Australian Air Force as they conduct crew training. The pattern sees the aircraft embark from its Amberley base heading to Ohakea where an approach and overshoot is conducted before heading to Auckland. A fullstop landing is made and crew seat change carried out before departing on return to Amberley. While on the ground at Auckland the A330 remains somewhere on a taxiway subject to air traffic requirements and no fuel uplift is made.
