The United States again beckoned us on a family vacation hence the blog being parked for a few weeks. While in transit at Los Angeles on our travels east I was able to snap a few photos from Terminal 1 - home to Southwest Airlines. Unfortunately their gates are constantly busy and with 99% of their fleet sporting winglets its hard to get unobstructed views of the north complex runway. On that subject, runway 24R remains closed for some serious maintenance causing pockets of congestion and creating some interesting taxi patterns to accommodate the day to day traffic chaos that is LAX!
